Late 19th/Early 20th Century German violin. It has a label which reads Gia Bapt Grancino etc, but it's clearly a recent addition. It's a very nice workshop instrument, a rich chestnut colour. Two-piece flamed maple back. Golden brown varnish. Rich, smooth tone and plenty of oomph. Condition: A few very light varnish dings, but generally extremely tidy for its age. Set up with new ebony pegs, Helicore strings and Wittner tailpiece. Price. SOLD
