Early 20th Century French 1/2 sized violin. Labelled Compagnon. Lovely little violin, with a high level of workmanship. One-piece flamed maple back. Rich red-gold varnish. Warm tone and plenty of power. A great violin for a talented young player.
Condition: Two repaired cracks, each about 2cms long running down from the right f-hole. They have been repaired and cleated inside. Usual minor knocks and dings for a violin of this age, but overall very clean.
Set up with Tonica strings and Wittner tailpiece.
