Early 20th Century violin, unlabelled. Probably German, possibly Czech. Nice workshop instrument. It appears to have a one piece back, with spectacular flaming, but in fact it has a two-piece back with painted flame. Very attractive. Bright, perky tone, nice and even with plenty of volume. Good value.
Condition: A few small varnish scratches on the lower side of the back. Otherwise just the usual small scratches and dings, and overall very clean.
Set up with new bridge, original ebony pegs, Warchal Karneol strings and Wittner tailpiece.
