Early to mid 20th Century violin, unlabelled, but probably German. Beautifully-made instrument, with very fine corners and edgework. Two-piece back, well-flamed. Very fine-grained spruce top, and nicely carved, elegant scroll. Light brown varnish. Big, mature sound, warm and dark and full of character. Very responsive and easy to play.
Condition: A few very light dings and scratches but in general very clean.
Set up with new bridge, new rosewood pegs, Helicore strings and Wittner tailpiece.
