453 German
Mid 20th Century workshop violin, probably German, unlabelled but stamped Stradiuarius below the button. Made with good wood, neat purfling, attractive blonde varnish. It's a wonderful instrument to play, very responsive with a huge, warm sound - if you're looking for a loud fiddle you've found it. Highly recommended - I'm sure this one won't last long.
Condition: A few scratches and dings but overall very clean - a well-played but well-kept fiddle.
Set-up: New ebony pearl eye pegs, new soundpost and Aubert bridge, new Wittner tailpiece and Tonica strings.
Price, including a new case and bow: SOLD
