564 3/4 French Strad Copy
Mid 20th Century Mirecourt violin, labelled Copie de Antonius Stradivarius etc. Beautful example of Mirecourt work, made with good wood and well crafted. It has a two-piece back of well-flamed maple and a spruce top of extremely tight grain. Honey-gold varnish. Like most of these Mirecourt instruments, it has a big, warm, round sound, and would be a great asset to any talented young player.
Condition: Quite a few scratches on the varnish, particularly on the back, but no cracks or repairs.
