Early 20th century French violin, labelled Paul Beuscher, Luthier, Paris 1927.High class Mirecourt instrument, made with the best of woods and finished with oil varnish and black points. It's a powerful instrument with lots of colour, very even across its range; a pleasure to play.
Condition: Considerable varnish wear and some blemishes caused by some caustic substance. These are only cosmetic, however, and the violin has no structural problems - no cracks, repairs or other issues.
Set-up: Set-up: New rosewood pegs and chin rest, new soundpost and Aubert bridge, new Helicore strings and Wittner tailpiece. Every Wild Goat Fiddle is checked carefully, and fingerboards and top-nuts are adjusted or replaced as necessary.
