Late 19th to early 20th Century German violin, labelled The Maidstone. These violins, along with the French Mirecourt instruments, were among the first made in large numbers and aimed at the student market. Maidstones were specifically made for the UK market, to high standards. They are tough and reliable instruments, much loved by students and teachers alike. This one has a particularly sweet tone.
