Nice 20th Century handmade German violin, labelled Richard Sandner Kunsigeigenbauer Hammelburg Facibat anno 1956. The top is tight-grained spruce, the back is one piece, of narrow curl. Good wood. Nice oil varnish, gold-brown. The sound is very clear and even, quite bright and sweet. Condition: Top condition. Not played much. Barely a scratch. Set-up: Original very interesting pegs, of matching shape but varying colours. I also left on the bridge it came with, because is it well made with extremely good maple. New Helicore strings and Wittner tailpiece, and a nice rosewood chinrest. Price, including a new case and bow: SOLD
