628 Concert 3/4
Mid twentieth century workshop violin, German. It is unlabelled apart from a repair label from a Scottish maker, but has CONCERT VIOLIN printed on the back of the head. Beautiful wood, good craftsmanship, nice red-brown varnish. The sound is warm and woody, as strong as many full-sized instruments. It will be a great asset to a keen young musician.
Condition: There is a separation under the tailpiece. It has been glued and cleated and is completely solid. Otherwise the condition is close to perfect.
Set-up: New ebony pegs, new soundpost and Aubert bridge, new Helicore strings.
