1/2 French Strad Copy
Late 19th/early 20th century French Strad Copy, half-sized, labelled copie de Antonius Stradivarius etc. It is typical of the mid-range Mirecourt instruments, made with inlaid purfling, attractive woods and better workmanship than the basic student models. It's a cracking little fiddle; smooth, responsive and sweet. A great instrument for a competent young musician.
Condition: Evidence of extensive use, with lots of bumps and dings, some varnish use, but no cracks, repairs or other issues.
Set-up: New rosewood pegs, new soundpost and Aubert bridge, new Helicore strings and WIttner tailpiece.
Price, including a new case and bow: €450
