Early to mid-twentieth century Mirecourt violin, labelled Joseph Guarnerius etc. One-piece back of broad flame, the grain of the spruce top is narrow at the centre and broadens towards the edges. Attractive red-gold varnish. Lovely sounding fiddle, warm and rich and responsive.
Condition: Just a ding or two - nothing more.
Set-up: New rosewood pegs and matching chin rest. New sound post and Aubert bridge, new Wittner tailpiece and Helicore strings.
