Early-mid 20th century violin, labelled Manufactured in Berlin Special copy of Antonius Stradivarius etc. Pretty Berlin workshop instrument made with good woods and very neat workmanship. The sound is bright and clear, nice and even across the range.
Condtion: Very clean for the vintage; just the usual scrapes and dings to be expected on an instrument of this age.
Set-up: New rosewood pegs, new soundpost and Aubert bridge, new Helicore strings and Wittner tailpiece. Every Wild Goat Fiddle is checked carefully, and fingerboards and top-nuts are adjusted or replaced as necessary.
