Early to mid-20th Century violin, unlabelled, probably German. Very nice broad-bellied, flat-arched Guarneri model, made with good woods and attractive dark varnish. Clear and even sound, silvery on the higher notes, very pleasant to play.
Condition: Lots of minor dings and scratches but no cracks, repairs or other issues.
Set-up: New ebony pegs and matching chin rest. New sound post and Aubert bridge, new Wittner tailpiece and Helicore strings.
