Early twentieth century Mirecourt violin, labelled Antonius Stradivarius etc (copie de or modele d'apres has been scratched off). High end workshop model, made with very good wood and excellent craftsmanship. Rich, mellow sound, clear and ringing in the higher ranges. Responsive and easy to play.
Condition: Dings and scrapes commensurate with age. Nothing worse.
Set-up: Original rosewood pegs, new matching chin rest. New sound post and bridge, new Wittner tailpiece and Helicore strings.
