732 Bohemian

Late 19th or early 20th century Bohemian violin, unlabelled.  Lovely old workshop fiddle, made with good woods. Looks a lot better in the flesh than it does in the photos with attractive dark varnish. It's a pleasure to play - has a sweet, haunting tone with plenty of resonance and is very even across the strings. Someone will meet their soulmate here.
Condition: It has an old repair to the edgework beneath the chin rest. Other than that it has only the usual scrapes and dings to be expected on an instrument of this age.
Set-up: Original ebony pegs, readjusted. New sound post and Aubert bridge. New chin rest, Wittner tailpiece and Helicore strings.
Price, including a new case and bow: SOLD
