Early twentieth century Mirecourt violin, labelled copie de Antonius Stradiuarius etc. This one would have been a mid-range student instrument when it was made, with light flame on the maple back and inlaid purfling. It's a cracking fiddle - deep and mellow with plenty of power. I predict that it won't be here for very long...
Condition: A few dings and scratches, nothing more.
Set-up: Original rosewood pegs, adjusted. New soundpost and bridge, new Helicore strings and Wittner tailpiece. Every Wild Goat Fiddle is checked carefully, and fingerboards and top-nuts are adjusted or replaced as necessary.
