Early twentieth century French violin, unlabelled. Made with very good woods and workmanship and an attractive red-gold varnish. Nice and warm in the lower register, clear and sweet in the upper range - easy to play and very responsive.
Condition: A few doings and scratches but overall very clean.
Set-up: New rosewood pegs and chin rest, new soundpost and Aubert bridge, new Helicore strings and Wittner tailpiece. Every Wild Goat Fiddle is checked carefully, and fingerboards and top-nuts are adjusted or replaced as necessary.
