756 Ernst Heinrich Roth 1937
German violin by and labelled Ernst Heinrich Roth 1937. This is a high end pre-war Roth instrument, made in the workshop in Markneukirchen. It is branded internally and carries a serial number. Made with spectacularly good woods, the one-piece back of very attractive regular flame, the top of extremely tight and regular grain. The voice is rich and focused with plenty of colour and power. These instruments are not so easy to find these days, and even harder to find in such pristine condition.
Condition: Pretty much as new. No issues of any kind - just a few light dings.
Set-up: Original ebony pegs. New sound post and Aubert Luxe bridge. New Wittner tailpiece and Pirastro Obligato strings.
Price, including a new case and bow: SOLD
