Early to mid twentieth century French violin, labelled Arthur Parisot etc. One of the labels from the higher end of Mirecourt violins, made with top woods and very fine workmanship, attractively finished in red-gold varnish and black points. The response is quick and the sound is round, sweet and well-balanced.
Condition: Scratches and dings commensurate with age, but no cracks, repairs or other issues.
Set-up: Original rosewood pegs, adjusted. New rosewood chin rest, new soundpost and Aubert bridge, new Helicore strings and Wittner tailpiece. Every Wild Goat Fiddle is checked carefully, and fingerboards and top-nuts are adjusted or replaced as necessary.
