Early to mid twentieth century French violin, labelled Jaques Leclerc etc. Beautifully made, with excellent woods and luminescent red-gold varnish. Wonderfully responsive, it has a warm, clear sound and plenty of power. Great session fiddle.
Condition: Minimal wear and tear - very clean and fresh-looking.
Set-up: Original rosewood pegs, adjusted. New ebony chin rest, new soundpost and bridge, new Helicore strings and Wittner tailpiece. Every Wild Goat Fiddle is checked carefully, and fingerboards and top-nuts are adjusted or replaced as necessary.
