Mid-twentieth century German violin, unlabelled. Made with excellent woods - spruce with tight and straight grain and a one-piece back with regular flame. The sound is quite bright and very even - a nice instrument for a strong student or competent amateur.
Condition: Some varnish wear, particularly on the back, and the usual light dings and scratches, but overall quite clean with no cracks, repairs or other issues.
Set-up: New ebony pegs, new soundpost and bridge, new Helicore strings and Wittner tailpiece. Every Wild Goat Fiddle is checked carefully, and fingerboards and top-nuts are adjusted or replaced as necessary.
