Handmade English violin, early twentieth century. Typical English work, the red varnish distinctive and the lightly flamed back probably English sycamore. The sound is warm and smooth and sweet, a real pleasure to play.
Condition: A good share of scratches and dings but no repairs or issues.
Set-up: New ebony pegs and chin rest, new soundpost and bridge, new Helicore strings and Wittner tailpiece. Every Wild Goat Fiddle is checked carefully, and fingerboards and top-nuts are adjusted or replaced as necessary.
