Early to mid-twentieth century French Strad copy, unlabelled. Typical Mirecourt work, made with good woods and craftsmanship; nice orange-gold varnish. Sometimes I get people looking for a loud fiddle. Well, here it is. It's warm, responsive, powerful and raring to go.
Condition: Some scrapes and scratches to the varnish but generally good: no cracks, repairs or other issues.
Set-up: New rosewood pegs and chin rest, new bridge and sound post, new Wittner tailpiece and Helicore strings. Every Wild Goat Fiddle is checked carefully, and fingerboards and top-nuts are adjusted or replaced as necessary.
Price, including a new case and bow: €1500
