Early to mid 20th century French violin, three-quarter size, labelled Modèle d'après Antonius Stradivarius etc. This is a top range student instrument from the Mirecourt workshops, made with beautiful woods and good craftsmanship. It is harder and harder to find these good little instruments these days, especially in this condition. The sound is deep and smooth with plenty of projection. It will be a great asset to a talented young player.
Condition: A few dings to the varnish, but overall in exceptionally clean condition for its age.
Set-up: New rosewood pegs, new bridge and sound post, new Helicore strings and Wittner tailpiece. Every Wild Goat Fiddle is checked carefully, and fingerboards and top-nuts are adjusted or replaced as necessary.
