481 French Strad Copy
Early to mid 20th century French Strad Copy with a handwritten label Jean Bleriot 1887. Nice golden-brown varnish, similar to the Breton Brevette instruments. Nice wood, well-made instrument. The sound is big and warm, nice and even across the strings - a pleasure to play.
Condition: It has had the neck replaced at some stage, and secured with two wooden pins through the button. It's not the prettiest, but it is secure. The price has been reduced accordingly - normally an instrument as good as this would be around €1000.
Set-up: Original rosewood pegs. New sound post, Aubert bridge, Wittner tailpiece and Tonica strings.
Price, including a new case and bow: €750
