Early 20th century French violin, unlabelled. Typical Mirecourt Strad copy, made with nice flamed maple and fine-grained spruce. Warm and growly in the bass, really sings out in the treble ranges. Fun and rewarding to play. Condition: A couple of varnish dents to the table and a few blemishes elswhere, but no cracks, repairs or other issues. Set-up: New rosewood pegs and chin rest, new soundpost and Aubert bridge, new Helicore strings and Wittner tailpiece.
