515 Mirecourt
Early 20th century French violin, unlabelled. Typical Mirecourt Strad copy, made with nice flamed maple and fine-grained spruce. Warm and growly in the bass, really sings out in the treble ranges. Fun and rewarding to play.

Set-up: New rosewood pegs and chin rest, new soundpost and Aubert bridge, new Helicore strings and Wittner tailpiece. Every Wild Goat Fiddle is checked carefully, and fingerboards and top-nuts are adjusted or replaced as necessary.
