Mid-twentieth century French Strad copy, labelled d'apres Antonius Stradivarius etc. Unusual Mirecourt instrument, having orange-red varnish over a yellow ground, giving a very striking appearance. The woods are extremely good, and the workmanship very fine. It is very easy to play and has a bright, focused and clear sound. Condition: Very clean. A few scratches and dings, but no issues of any kind. Set-up: New Aubert bridge, recently fitted and adjusted rosewood pegs. Wittner tailpiece and Helicore strings.
